May 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) After ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” finale, all eyes were set on for the FOX’s “American Idol” season 9 finale on Wednesday night. The viewers of the “American Idol” season 9 went on to bestow the most coveted title on Lee DeWyze, the Mount Prospect paint store clerk who was able to beat the single mother Crystal Bowersox from Elliston, Ohio. Though many had previously said that this year of “American Idol” lacked the luster and the brilliance, few had questioned the capability of Crystal Bowersox. However, for the paint store clerk it was not a cake walk as towards the end of this season each and every contestant tried to put their best to get the votes from the viewers.

On Tuesday night’s performance round Crystal Bowersox was able to impress the judges who praised her unanimously for her brilliant singing. Her rendition of “Up to the mountain” was called by many as one of the finest in the history of “American Idol”. Lee DeWyze according to the judges, seemed visibly nervous. However, it seems that the viewers’ choice differed from that of the judges on the final night.

After the declaration of the results, Lee DeWyze went on to say to the media sources that “A year ago I [he] had nothing,” and added that it was for that reason that he had come to the show. Lee DeWyze said that he is now proud of himself and thinks that he deserves the accolades and the trophy that he has received. He accepted that it was not a cake walk for him and that he had to struggle to prove his worth in midst of talented singers.
