Ledgers charisma was as natural as gravity: Batman directorJanuary 29th, 2008 - 5:04 pm ICT by admin
London, Jan 29 (ANI): The helmer of one of Heath Ledgers last performances has paid homage to the dead actor, saying he was “bursting with creativity”.
Christopher Nolan, director of Batman sequel The Dark Knight, in which Ledger plays The Joker, told how the Australian actor would turn up on set on his nights off.
He said that Ledger, whose Joker is a skateboarding psychopath, sparked a craze among younger crewmembers.
“I’d fretted about the reaction of Batman fans to a skateboarding Joker, but the actual result was a proliferation of skateboards among the younger crew members, the Telegraph quoted Nolan, as stating in an article for Newsweek.
“If you’d asked those kids why they had chosen to bring their boards to work, they would have answered honestly that they didn’t know.
“That’s real charisma - as invisible and natural as gravity. That’s what Heath had. Heath was bursting with creativity. It was in his every gesture, he added. (ANI)
