Oct 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The renowned American singer and songwriter LeAnn Rimes has come under scanner once again. The country singer appeared on the October cover of a reputed American magazine in a sizzling bikini while the editor-in-chief of the magazine Valerie Latona sent an apology to the readers for putting her picture on the magazine cover. The editor in chief called the October cover a “terrible mistake”.

However, this statement of Valerie Latona was also followed by other statements where the editor-in-chief of the magazine stated that putting LeAnn Rimes on the cover does not mean that putting a “husband stealer” on the “pedestal”. However, the editor-in-chief said that the magazine cover was to that we are all human and particularly LeAnn Rimes found strength in maintaining what she said during her most difficult time. On the other hand the Grammy award-winning singer responded to her comments in the homepage of her social networking site where she stated that she finds the statement of the editor-in-chief quite “contradictory” as the magazine has welcomed her at their party because she graced their cover for the third time.

Valerie Latona later said that her statement was taken out of context as she only used the words of some “unhappy” readers who wrote it. Valerie Latona said that she stands by LeAnn Rimes’ story as it is compelling and her “strength” to face so much ups and downs in her life is also “compelling” and because of that she put her on the cover for the third time. The editor said that about 40 readers of 6 million readers called LeAnn Rimes a “husband stealer” and she answered and apologized to them through her statement.
