Sep 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Grammy Award-winning singer LeAnn Rimes finally opened herself up in her recent interview to a reputed media source, where she explained why she cheated on her ex-husband Dean Sheremet. LeAnn Sheremet’s nearly eight years marriage to Dean Sheremet ended when she began dating Edie Cibrian. The singer said that she knows she did one of the most selfish things by hurting “someone else”. However, she has her own explanation as well. LeAnn Rimes said that at times people need to be selfish in order to find out what truly makes them happy.

LeAnn Rimes was subjected to severe criticisms and “disappointed” her fans when she started dating Edie Cibrian and broke her marriage with Dean Sheremet. The singer said that she thinks any relationship is hard to get out of, but the way she did was not “right”. The reason that she gave for the end of their marriage was that the estranged couple got married at a very early age. LeAnn Rimes was only 19 year old and Dean Sheremet was 21 year old. However, she said that as they grew older they grew “apart” from one another.

The “Big Deal” singer said that her relationship with Dean Sheremet was great but in the end it was not “fulfilling” for either of them. However, LeAnn Rimes said that the whole experiences are lessons in it for her to learn and the it was the most important thing which cultivated strength from rough situation. The singer said that she feels that she feels that after going through “this” she knows that she can face anything. LeAnn Rimes is presently living in with Edie Cibrian and his two children.
