New York City, Apr 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The ‘Law & Order’ star Chris Meloni has clarified that he is not leaving the show. He has been with the show since its inception in 1999, and has absolutely no plans to bid adieu to it. Apparently the quitting rumor started when he was giving an interview, and there he was misquoted that he was planning to leave the show. The news spread like wildfire, but now Chris has clarified that he was simply quoted on this issue, out of context and that he has no such plans.

He clarified that, “What I said was ‘When your contract is done…that will be the end. Because when your contract is done, it’s usually the end. But when [producers] come back to me, you know, we can always talk.’ I couched it incorrectly. It wasn’t [the reporter's] fault.” Besides this, he also added very candidly that he still has a one-year left on his contract with the production house, and the other side of the story is that their show hasn’t been picked up. So he said that incase the show is picked up again, then he would definitely be a part of it. Chris Meloni said that, “I had one year [left] on my contract. Our show hasn’t been picked up. Those are the facts of the matter.”
