law1Los Angeles, May 25, (THAINDIAN NEWS) After the end of popular NBC series “Lost” and “24″, the television network has bid farewell to yet another of its long-time series “Law and Order”. The final episode of “Law and Order” went on air on the 24th of May, the end coming as a shock to most of the viewers of the popular series who were unaware of the fact that their favorite serial would end so soon. “Law and Order” has already been on air for twenty seasons now and its abrupt end, that too without any prior information has taken the Americans by surprise.

“Law and Order” was essentially a crime series in which investigators of the New York Police Department went on the trail of several criminals and led them to the court. It is true that the ratings for the series had dropped considerably in the recent past but there was no information on the part of the producers for the serial to be put to an end, on the contrary NBC had announced that a sequel by the name of “Law & Order: Los Angeles” was to follow soon this year itself.

The “law and Order” finale was according to critics a good watch with the drama between the police and the prosecutors reaching its height as well as presenting the audience with a favorable result in the end. Fans are now expecting that the sequel to the long running crime drama will soon go on air in the fall season this year and thus it will not be the end of their favorite crime series.
