June 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Grammy award winner and R&B artist Lauryn Hill after eight years of obscurity said on Monday that she is ready to record again. The rapper and singer in an interview to a reputed media source said that she thinks “it’s just time” for her. She recently performed at the Harmony Festival in Santa Rosa, California.

Lauryn Hill, 35 is well known for her multi platinum selling album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill”and her work for Fugees. She left music in the year 1999 after she won 5 Grammy Awards and went onto her personal married life with her husband Rohan Marley and their five children. However, she again came to the forefront in “MTV Unplugged”, but after that she was not available for any interviews and hardly performed in the shows. In her recent interview the singer explained that the support system she needed was not necessarily in place hence there were things about her that she had to go through in order to feel like it was “worth it”. The R&B singer added it is important that people should be given time that they need to go through, “to grow” so that the consciousness level of the general public is properly affected.

The singer looks all ready to gear up as her youngest child is old enough for her to be away from her family and concentrate on her career. Lauryn Hill said that she is “excited again” and added that she feels people are attracted to her “passion” for music which according to her is “infectious”. Lauryn Hill promised more live performances in future for her fans and wants her fans to hear her “a bit more”.
