Though the news of actress Lauren London giving birth to the Grammy award winning rapper Lil Wayne’s baby had flooded the net some days back, there had been no official confirmation from either of the camps of the two parties involved. However, the night before the MTV 2009 VMAs, the rep. for London, came out clearing the air over the matter.

London’s rep. is reported to have confirmed the news to MTV News on Sunday, the September 13. Also, in a statement released on Saturday to HipHollywood.com, the rep. revealed the details of the birth. In the statement released by the rep., it is stated, “Lauren London and Dwayne Carter welcomed their healthy baby boy in to the world on 09-09-09. Everyone is happy and well.”

However, the name of the baby has not been released yet but various sources seem to suggest that the baby has cute dimples like those of his mother. The baby boy is reported to have been born at the Ceder Sinai hospital in Los Angeles and at the time of birth, weighed a healthy 7 pounds and 12 oz.

For months there had been wild speculations surrounding the relationship between Wayne and London. Though both had been spotted together occasionally at many sports events numerous times, they had never really admitted to having a relationship at any point. Months back, rumors had started floating of London being pregnant with Wayne’s baby and it was not until last month that Wayne chose to confirm the news on a radio show interview. This is the first baby for London and the third for Wayne.
