Lauper awarded for charity work
November 24th, 2011 - 9:11 am ICT by IANSLondon, Nov 24 (IANS) Singer Cyndi Lauper has received the Spirit of Youth trophy for her contribution in helping homeless people.
Dailystar.co.uk reported that Lauper was applauded by officials at the National Runaway Switchboard at their annual benefit ceremony for supporting their cause through her charity True Colors Fund.
Lauper has followed in the footsteps of rapper Ludacris and actor Tim Matheson who have previously picked up the prize.
