knox_robert-croppeddisplay The entire star cast of the Harry Potter series will be paying a tribute to the late Rob Knox by sporting white wristbands at the premiere of the latest Happy Potter movie. The premiere is scheduled for tonight at the Leicester Square in London. 18 year old Knox, had appeared in the latest movie “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince” playing the part of Marcus Belby.

Rob Knox had been murdered last year outside the Metro Bar in Station Road, Sidcup, on the 23rd of May last year. At that time he had just finished shooting for the movie. 22 year old Karl Bishop of Carlton Road, Sidcup, had been convicted for murdering the teenage actor and will be spending a good part of his life (almost 20 years) in jail for the murder.

The announcement of paying respect to the late actor was made at a press conference by Bonnie Wright, who plays the character of Ron Weasley’s younger sister, Ginny in the film series. Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe paid tribute to Knox saying “I would not pretend that I knew Rob incredibly well. I knew him, I liked him and what happened to him was tragic.”

Producer David Heyman said, “When anybody’s life is cut short it casts a shadow and for all of us it makes us realize how lucky we are and to live each moment as best we can.” Director David Yates lamented by saying, “He put his heart and soul in to it, what a terrible waste.”

The “Harry Potter and the half blood prince” releases worldwide on July 15th.
