Late Brittany Murphy’s Husband, Simon Monjack, Dies Aged 39

May 24, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Just five months since his wife, Brittany Murphy’s death, the screenwriter, Simon Monjack, was discovered dead at his home in the Hollywood Hills late on Sunday. According to sources, Monjack passed away at night in his home, which he once shared with Murphy.
At approximately 9:24 PM, Brittany’s mother, Sharon, who lived with Monjack, found him lifeless in his bedroom and dialed 911 for assistance. The cause of Monjack’s death has not been identified yet. Local police officers have declared that they are conducting an investigation and will supply concrete data once they have it.
Monjack and Murphy walked down the aisle in May 2007 in a private Jewish ceremony in Los Angeles. For the last three and a half years, they lived with Murphy’s mother in the same Hollywood Hills home.
Brittany passed away in December 2009 after collapsing in the bathroom of her house. She was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was proclaimed dead as soon as she arrived. The main reason mentioned for her death was pneumonia, with the less important reasons of iron-deficiency anemia and manifold drug intoxication.
In a statement subsequent to his wife’s death, Monjack had said that his world has been ruined. Reportedly, Monjack was so attached to his wife that he was not able to get over her passing for several weeks.
