Last minute changes in Diwali releases
October 14th, 2009 - 4:39 pm ICT by Sampurn WireIt’s a hotchpotch situation across Tamil Nadu as lot of changes on film’s release schedule has taken place. Firstly, it is Surya-Nayanthara starrer “Aadhavan’. The film was supposed to hit screens on Oct 17 for Diwali. But to ensure that the film has more collections, the producer releases the film on Diwali-eve. Especially, the multiplex owners have decided to have at least 3-4 screening on 16th evening. As well more special shows have been scheduled for the first three days.
Jeyam Ravi’s “Peranmai’ was supposed to hit screens on Saturday and now gets pre-poned to Friday itself. The last to join the queue of releases is Namitha starrer “Jagan Mohini’ releasing on 17th Oct. On the pars, Hindi films- BLUE, Main Aurr Mrs Khanna and ALL THE BEST has already got booked for the Diwali weekend.
Producer Kalaipuli S Dhanu of V Creations has acquired distribution rights of “BLUE’ in Tamil Nadu and will release the film with 50 prints. Says Dhanu: “I am really awestruck watching the breathtaking stunts and spellbinding musical score by A.R. Rahman. For sure, it will be a sure-footed winner for this Diwali…”
