Larry King Returns to Television in New Sitcom Gig

Jan 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to ‘TV Guide’s’ William Keck, Larry King has booked his first television gig since he left the ‘CNN’ show ‘Larry King Live’. The television personality will be playing the part of himself in an episode on the upcoming ‘ABC’ sitcom ‘Better Than You’.

The show is set to be taped sometime next week, and will air early in the month of March. According to the script, the character “Ben” which is played by Josh Cooke, will be given advice by Larry King, when the two of them meet in hotel which is managed by Ben.

Larry King has also recently starred on Jay Leno, doing a stand up comedy stint. He joked to the ‘Hollywood Reporter’ that he would do stand up comedy after ‘Larry King Live’, and you can see his act in the video embedded below.

Piers Morgan took over the spot left by Larry King’s absence on ‘CNN’. According to reports, he is getting the same ratings which King did on his new show, ‘Piers Morgan Tonight’. A spokesman for CNN stated, “We have seen consistent advertiser interest in the new Piers Morgan Tonight program since the show was announced last year.”
