Larry Birkhead does not think Howard will be found guilty

August 24, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Howard K. Stern is charged for providing former leading lady Anna Nicole Smith with drugs, to make matters worse Larry Birkhead testified to the District Attorney against him. After giving the testimony, Birkhead sided with Stern and said he does not think Stern will be charged with the crime. Birkhead seemed exceptionally relieved about finally getting over with the case.
Birkhead finished his testimony with the District Attorney’s office. Birkhead further said that it was especially tough for him to give the testimony as it brought back tearful memories of Anna.
When Larry was asked about the prosecutors questions, he stated that he tried his best to give a detailed account, although it was hard to remember the minute details. Larry thinks Anna Nicole was not an addict, according to him her suffering was real and she tried to numb the pain with drugs.
Larry further added that Howard Stern did not mean to hurt Anna in anyway, as he was simply trying to help her out when no one else would. Asked if he thought Stern was responsible for Smith’s death, Larry”s reply was a short and simple “no”.
Larry spent 40 minutes on the stand, facing a barrage of questions from the prosecutors. Birkhead first appeared in court on Thursday, prosecutors had hoped his testimony would prove Stern, Dr. Sandeep Kapoor and Khristine Eroshevich guilty.
