Laila Rouass to make film on life of ‘poster girl of Palestinian terrorism’
March 11th, 2010 - 4:08 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )London, March 11 (ANI): Footballers’ Wives star Laila Rouass is set to make a film on the life of terrorist Leila Khaled, often dubbed the “poster girl of Palestinian terrorism”.
Rouass, 38, is quite intrigued by the story of Khaled, who hit the headlines for taking part in the hijacking of a flight from Rome to Athens in 1969.
“Was she a revolutionary fighter or was she a terrorist?” the Telegraph quoted Rouass, as saying.
She added: “I suppose that is up to the individual to decide. She is still alive and lives in Jordan. I have spoken to her on the phone and I would love to go meet her in person.”
“There are very few times that you see the female side of these things and what drives a woman to do what she did,” adds the actress. (ANI)
