New York, Dec 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Singer Tony Bennett has placed a charcoal portrait of nude Lady Gaga for sale on the Internet auction site eBay. The image which is signed by Bennett was taken from Gaga’s pose on the cover of the January edition of the Vanity Fair magazine.

Bennett has revealed that proceeds from the sale will be shared and given to the various charities of the two. Touching on the portrait, 85-year-old Bennett said he was happy to have completed and having it on eBay. The auction will end on the 19th of December and the current highest bid for the work is $6,700. Observers though say the amount could go much higher than that before the auction is closed.

Gaga and Bennett worked on the duet “Lady is a Tramp.” The track is featured on the jazz player’s album “Duets II.”

Bennett recently praised Gaga during an interview saying that, “Lady Gaga has the mark of true genius in which she makes what is difficult appear effortless. Fred Astaire, Cary Grant, Ella Fitzgerald–they all shared that quality and it’s what I refer to as the ‘It Factor.’”

Proceeds from the auction sales will be given to Gaga’s Born this Way Foundation and Bennett’s Exploring the Arts charity organization.
