Lady Gaga’s ‘evolution was inspired by Freddie Mercury’
October 18th, 2010 - 4:39 pm ICT by ANINew York, Oct 18 (ANI): Singer Wendy Starland, who discovered Lady Gaga has revealed that Freddie Mercury is the inspiration behind the transformation of Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta into Lady Gaga.
“We had to create something that . . . would have a more theatrical type of appearance,” the New York Post quoted Starland as telling MTV News.
“We looked to Queen and Freddie Mercury and the song ‘Radio Gaga’ for inspiration,” she added.
In September, Starland filed a lawsuit in Newark federal court against Gaga’s former manager, Rob Fusari, for compensation allegedly promised for introducing Gaga to him. (ANI)
