Lady Gaga to do a voiceover for The Simpsons

New York, Aug 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Pop singer Lady Gaga has given her voice to the highly popular animation television show The Simpsons. The singer is part of the 23rd Season of the show. She spoke about her role with the Entertainment Weekly.

She said that, “this is one of the coolest things I’ve ever doneā€¦I make music, but I don’t do voice-overs every day of the week, and their characters are so awesomely convincing and sincere and wild and funny, I had to remind myself constantly of the sincerity of the humor.”

Matt Groening who is the creator of the show told EW that he has always been looking for iconic personalities to be associated with the show. She sees that in Lady Gaga.

Gaga will join a long list of celebrities who have been with the show. In the upcoming season, there will be several guest voices on the show including those of Gordon Ramsay, Cera, Kiefer Sutherland, Joan Rivers, Armie Hamer, Shepard Fairey, Anthony Bourdain, Jane Lynch and Andy Garcia.

Gaga gave her voice to Lisa in the episode of the show titled “Lisa Goes Gaga.” The episode will be aired on the FOX in the spring. The new season of The Simpsons will start airing from the 25th of September.
