Lady Gaga talks about her ‘Marry the Night’ video

Los Angeles, Dec 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Lady Gaga says the video of her music “Marry the Night” is “autobiographical.” During a chat with Vanity Fair, Gaga revealed that the song revolves around the early life in her career.

Renowned music video director Darius Khondji was the director of photography for the video with Gaga directing the video. Gaga calls the events that led to her making the movie as “the worst day of my life.”

Recollecting the events that led to the worst day in her life, Gaga said she was dropped by her record label, Island Def Jam. Before that fateful phone call that informed her that she has been dropped, Gaga said she called her mother and was taken to the hospital. She received the call at the house when she returned from the hospital.

Vanity Fair was with the singer during the shooting of the music video. In the trailer which the entire crew were traveling, Gaga turned to the others and asked about how the video should be.

She answered the question when she told them that, “It’s chaotic and sad. But I don’t want it to be safe. It has to be humiliating.”

Gaga reenacted the events on that particular day during the filming of the video.
