New York, Mar 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Pop sensation Lady Gaga has found herself amidst legal troubles lately after one of her former producer and ex-lover, who claims to have played a significant role in building her career, filed a lawsuit against the “Bad Romance” singer accusing her of ditching him after tasting success.
In a lawsuit that has been filed with the New York State Supreme Court on Wednesday, the music producer alleges that he was instrumental in launching the 23-year-old musical artist’s career and co-wrote hits such as “Paparazzi” and “Disco Heaven”. Moreover, the producer Rob Fusari also asserts that he had helped the much acclaimed singer coin the name ‘Lady Gaga’ while assisting her to undergo the metamorphosis from Stefani Germanotta into one of the leading singing sensations of the nation. However, when Lady Gaga became successful, which allegedly resulted in the end of their romance, Rob Fusari did not receive his share of the royalties as well as the merchandising revenues. Supposedly, this was the reason which propelled the songwriter to file a $30.5 million lawsuit against the Grammy award-wining musical artist. Although the music producer admits to having received around $611,000 from the musical artist’s company, he maintains that his ex-flame still owes him more than $30,000 million.
While talking about the lawsuit, Robert Meloni, an attorney of the songwriter and music producer, revealed that this is the old saga in the music fraternity where once success is achieved, people tend to forget those responsible for their achievement. However, Lady Gaga or her spokesperson Dave Tomberlin have not released any statement in this regard as yet.
