gaga2Sep 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Stars shined down at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles last Sunday as it was the much anticipated MTV Video Music Awards 2010. The “Bad Romance” singer Lady Gaga took home 8 Moonman Awards for her contributions in the music industry. However, the meat dress that she wore in the award function created lot of controversies as the Animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals officials said that wearing any dress made from cuts of “dead cows” is displeasing enough to “bring comments”.

Later Lady Gaga wore a red meat dress in the VMA 2010 when she walked on stage to collect her Video Of The Year from Cher. She even admitted that the meat dress was so heavy that she had a difficulty to walk and then apologized if she is “little slow” that evening. The singer, later appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and said that she wore that bizarre dress to make her own statement. She even added that she did not mean to offend any vegetarians as she feels she is the most “judgment-free” human being on earth. The “Poker Face” singer said that her meat dress may have many interpretations but for her it means something different.

Lady Gaga said that she feels if people do not stand up for what they believe in and don’t fight for the rights then soon people will have as much rights as the meat on “own” bones. Lady Gaga then added that she is not a piece of meat. Her dress might have raised eyebrows but for Cher her outfit was an astonishing outfit. Cher wrote in her social networking site that Lady Gaga’s purse was “genius”. Cher also added in at the homepage of her microblogging site that everyone is presently talking about Lady Gaga’s outfit and her purse.
