Feb 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Lady Gaga was recently accused of stealing Madonna’s ‘Express Yourself’ when her newest hit song, ‘Born This Way’ was released. Despite the strong similarities in the two songs, the twenty four year old pop star says that she is a huge fan of Madonna and no harm was intended.

During her appearance on the ‘The Tonight Show With Jay Leno’ on Monday night, Gaga was accused of ripping off the song of the pop star queen. Lady Gaga, whose real name is actually Stefanie Germanotta, said, “There is really no one that is a more adoring and loving Madonna fan than me. I am the hugest fan personally and professionally.”

Gaga also claimed that she had heard straight from Madonna that she gives her blessing to Gaga for the song. “Well, the good news is that I got an e-mail from her people, and her sending me their love and complete support on behalf of the single, and if the queen says it shall be, then it shall be.”

According to Us Magazine, Oddly enough, it was not Madonna which Gaga thanked when she was receiving her Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album. “I wanted to thank Whitney (Houston), because when I wrote ‘Born this Way,’ I imagined she was singing it — because I wasn’t secure enough in myself to imagine I was a superstar. So, Whitney, I imagined you were singing ‘Born This Way’ when I wrote it.”
