lady-gagaAt the VMA awards held on the night of September 13, Lady GaGa’s name emerged as one of the biggest winners for the awards ceremony. The singing sensation has already created sufficient buzz with her foray in to the world of music entertainment since last year and it was time to reap the benefits at the VMA night.

The singer who is known to be a sure shot head turner, did so again on Sunday night with her style statement and unique selection. The 23 year old singer walked the red carpet donning a black lace creation from Jean Paul Gaultier. The lace dress had a Dragon print silk underlay, which made for a striking combination. The dress is from the Gaultier’s fall or winter, ready to wear collection. As accessories, she had a Keko Hainswheeler neck brace and Kiko jewelry to complete the look. Her companion on the red carpet walk at the VMA was Kermit the Frog.

Lady GaGa had been nominated in as many as 9 categories and was one of the most discussed and big earners at this year’s VMA. At the end of the awards show, she also emerged as one of the biggest winners of the night, winning in as many as three category awards. The “Poker Face” hit-maker’s wins tied her with the R&B diva Beyonce at the top spot, besides the immensely popular rock band Green Day. Lady GaGa took home the award for Special Effects for her song “Paparazzi.”

Also, her performance at the show was a much talked about one, just as everything about her is. She had reportedly smeared herself with blood during her performance.
