Sep 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The much anticipated MTV VMA Music Awards 2010 watched all the who’s who of music fraternity walk the red carpet with anticipation. Some went home with smile and some were disheartened as they had to leave empty handed. One of the biggest attractions of the night was “Just Dance” singer Lady Gaga. The singer captured attention not only because of her outrageous and wide outlook but also she nabbed 8 awards. The singer’s meat dress has presently hogged limelight.

The singer made her dramatic red carpet arrival in an outrageous Alexander McQueen gown before making multiple costume changes throughout the show. Lady Gaga appeared three times on the stage and each time she was seen wearing a different costume. She received trophies for Best Pop Video, Best Female Video, Best Editing/Directing, Best Dance Video, to name a few. One of the most striking costume which raised eyebrows was her meat dress costume with which she even wore a pair of matching boots and a clutch made of raw meat. The media is presently speculating that the singer might be infuriating the PETA officials with her controversial dress. Previously, when asked about her outlandish dressing sense, Lady Gaga said that she wants to project some tough female spirit and her dresses are her “shield”s.

Lady Gaga calls her dresses her “weapon” and her inner sense of fame. The singer may have raised eyebrows because of her different dresses but at the same time she could zip the mouth of her critics by winning eight awards in the show. The “Poker Face” singer has her own fashion statement and before she even said that some of her dresses are designed by herself. While receiving the final award for the night the singer wore a black dress as well.
