Melbourne, Jan 27 (ANI): American singer Lady Gaga has revealed in an interview with Barbara Walters on 20/20 that the rumour she is a hermaphrodite is nothing but a misconception.

Gaga, 23, real name Stefani Germanotta, said that there are some big misconceptions going around about her, and that one of them is about her having a penis.

“You’ve heard the rumours going around … the rumour that you are both a man and a woman?” the Daily Telegraph quoted Walters as asking Gaga.

Lady Gaga replied: “I’m familiar with it.”

Walters next asked: “Is it true?”

To which Lady Gaga answered: “No. No not really.”

Walters went on to ask Gaga if she minds being termed as a hermaphrodite.

“At first it was very strange,” Gaga, said.

“I portray myself in a very androgynous way, and I love androgyny,” she added. (ANI)
