Lady Antebellum sweeps the list of the Grammy winners

Los Angeles, Feb 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) There were big winners over the weekend during the Grammy Awards. Lady Antebellum though was the biggest winner on the night after walking away with 5 awards.

Her biggest awards were the record of the year award and the song of the year award. She also won the country album, country song and country performance by a duo or group with vocals awards.

The biggest award on the night though was not won by Lady A. though her album “Need You Now” won the artist several awards, the album failed to win the album of the year award. That was taken by Arcade Fire’s “The Suburb”.

Reggae star Buju Banton won his 5th Grammy when he won the Reggae Album of the year award with his album “Before The Dawn”. Banton who is currently under house arrest on drug related charges thanked all his fans when he received the nomination saying “Before The Dawn’ is a prophetic album and if it happens to win I am grateful.” Banton may find himself in jail for life if he is found guilty of drug related trade.

All the big names won awards during the night. Lady Gaga picked the pop vocal album of the year award with her album “The Fame Monster” and the female pop vocal performance award with the song “The Fame Monster”.
