Nov 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Country sensation Lady Antebellum bagged the early awards at the CMA Awards 2010. The group picked up the Best Single awards two years in a row for their hit ‘Need You Know’. Last year the group won the same award for their song ‘Run To You’. Hosting the show for the third time in a row, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood looked comfortable as ever on stage and poked some hilarious fun at the artists who came to collect and present the awards. Among some of the jokes, they even pretended to get confused between Lady Antebellum and Lady Gaga.
The group also bagged the award for the Vocal Group of the Year later in the night. Charles Kelley said after the awards that this has been the most incredible year for them and they also thanked County Radio for their support. Sweeping the awards this year is country star Miranda Lambert who won three awards on the night.
Lady Antebellum bagged two of the awards from the six nominations. The group is also scheduled to perform at Augusta next week in two sold out shows. The group also performed their hit ‘Hello World’ at the CMAs this year. Some of the other artists that performed this year includes Taylor Swift, Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert. Miranda Lambert performed her hit ‘That’s The Way The World Goes ‘Round’ which got the audience grooving after the Blake Shelton performance. Country icon Reba McEntire performed the cover of the Beyonce Knowles hit ‘If I Were A Boy’ and the singer imbibed her own style into the thought provoking number.
