June 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) La Toya Jackson, the elder sister of Michael Jackson, was overwhelmed with emotions when she meet Bubbles, the former pet of the King of Pop.

The reunion which was part of an Animal Planet documentary witnessed the musical legend’s elder sister get extremely emotional when she saw the ape at his Florida sanctuary supposedly after a period of 20 years. Bubbles, the former chimp of Michael Jackson who is known have toured with the musical icon and also appeared in his music videos, has been living in the Florida sanctuary since the year 2004.

Although Michael Jackson had visited his pet ape many times at Florida’s Center for Great Apes, this was the very first time that anyone from his family had taken the initiative to meet the 27 year old animal. La Toya Jackson who was immensely excited to meet her deceased brother’s pet ape could not hold back tears when she finally got the opportunity to meet Bubbles.

Despite the fact that the musical legend’s sister was delighted to have meet the ape, Bubbles did not quite respond with the same enthusiasm as he largely remained unmoved while gazing from his cage. In the documentary titled “Michael Jackson & Bubbles: The Untold Story,” La Toya Jackson further reveals instances of how close Bubbles was to the King of Pop as well as to the rest of the family.

Bubbles was adopted by Michael Jackson from a research facility in Texas in the eighties after which the ape became a known face in his tours and concerts. However, in 2003, Bubbles was shifted to an animal sanctuary in California after he had become aggressive owing to which it was not possible for Michael Jackson to handle him.
