Kylies contribution snubbed by ColdplayMay 18th, 2008 - 12:24 am ICT by admin
London, May 17 (ANI): Aussie pop princess Kylie Minogue had recorded a vocal for Coldplays new album, but it didnt make it to the final edition, as it was scrapped.
Minogues hard work was discarded after Coldplay front man Chris Martin decided that it did not fit the mood.
The two share a record label, Parlophone, but their sessions together for the eagerly awaited fourth collection, Viva La Vida, were at times fraught.
Kylie is awesome. Shes like Girls Aloud rolled into one, the Sun quoted
Chris as telling Q mags website Q4music.com.
I took apart the song she did with us, like a Corby trouser press, he added.
According to bassist Guy Berryman, the album, which is due out on June 12, is the bands most political yet.
Theres this slightly anti-authoritarian viewpoint thats crept into some of the lyrics, Berryman said.
Its the pay-off between being surrounded by governments on one side, but also were human beings with emotions and were all going to die…and the stupidity of what we have to put up with, he added. (ANI)
