London, May 5 (IANS) Australian star Kylie Minogue’s hit tracks are set to be turned into a musical.
She’s teaming up with stylist-turned-West End art director William Baker to create a musical which will be an interpretation of her music, reports dailystar.co.uk.
“Yes, William Baker and I are working on getting the story written. I’m comfortable because it’s not my life story; it’s about the interpretation of my music,” she said.
Earlier Swedish pop band Abba’s iconic tracks were transformed into hugely popular stage show “Mamma Mia!” and then adapted for the big screen where Meryl Streep played the lead role.
The music of the pop band Queen was turned into a musical titled “We Will Rock You”. Spice Girls’ former manager Simon Fuller confirmed that work had began on a musical telling the story of the girl group’s rise to fame.
