Sep 26, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Kristin Bell starrer ‘You Again’ has hit theaters across America this Friday and many feel that it is the best comedy to catch this weekend. The Andy Fickman directed flick has received favorable reviews from the critics and audience alike so far. Though some had brushed aside the movie as just another chick flick, the film has managed to bring in some favorable opinion post release.

The plot of the film revolves around Kristin Bell’s character, Marni, who was tormented by a popular cheerleader in her high-school days. Fast forward a few years and Marni realizes that her brother is about to marry the same person who made life hell for her in high school. She is now left with the difficult choice of letting the past remain the past or getting revenge from the person who gave her a tough time in high school. In another twist to the tale, it is found that Marni’s mother and Joanna’s (the cheerleader and Marni’s brother’s fiance) mother also have some old scores to settle.

The film has a veteran cast that includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver and Betty White. Younger stars like Kristin Bell and Odette Yustman have also done well in their roles. Though the key to the film is the hilarious cast, there are some seriously funny situations created due to the rivalry between the girls. According to one critic, the audience can relate to the film because almost everyone has gone through the phase of being bullied or bullying someone in high school. Another message that the film gets across to the audience is that the past can come back to haunt one again at times and in ways that one can least expect.
