Kristen Stewart and Jennifer Lawrence feud over a role

New York, May 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Kristen Stewart and Jennifer Lawrence, two of the most popular young actresses, are aggressively for the same role in a Scott Cooper film.

The two actresses are vying for the role of Peyton Loftis in a film that will be directed by Crazy Heart director Scott Cooper. The movie will be an adaptation of Lie Down in Darkness, the debut novel of the writer William Styron.

The production of this independent film will start next year. The movie will tell the story of a psychologically vulnerable young woman and her dysfunctional 1950s Virginia family.

Reportedly, both Lawrence and Stewart regard the role as career-making and a clear chance for an Oscar.

In the June issue of Elle magazine, Kristen Stewart publicly spoke on the movie. The “Twilight” star insisted that she desperately wants to play Peyton. She also stated that two actors are vying to play the role of Loftis’ father, Daniel Day-Lewis and Colin Firth.

On the other hand, Lawrence stated in W that she is obsessed with playing Loftis. She also declared that she trying to contact the film’s director to convince him that she should take part in the film. Lawrence rose to fame after taking part in the film “The Hunger Games”.
