Kousani Roy To Star In Bengali Mega Serial ‘Debi Boron’

November 11, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Actress and television show host Kousani Roy cannot help celebrating the success that has just landed on her lap. Well, Kousani Roy has reportedly bagged an important role in an upcoming Bengali mega serial titled ‘Debi Boron’. Confirming the news to the media, Kousani says that she is very excited about the new venture at hand and is looking forward to work with director Sayantan Mukherjee. Kousani Roy will play the role of ‘mejobou’ of a Bengali zamindar family in the upcoming television project.
‘Debi Boron’ revolves around the lives of members of a zamindar family living in Moynagram. Kousani Roy says that the problems faced by the family members are contemporary in nature. Her character is an important member in the serial because it is she who brings about trouble for the family and it is from where the other incidents in ‘Debi Boron’ initiates.
Kousani Roy’s look for the mega serial has been specially designed keeping in mind the traditional mentality of the family from where her character hails. According to reports, Kousani’s character ‘Mamata’ will be seen draped in saris complete with the sindoor look that a Bengali woman is usually seen sporting. This is a completely new domain for her, says the actress.
Apart from Kousani Roy, ‘Debi Boron’ also stars Subhrajit Mitra and Anamika Saha.
