Mumbai, Feb 27 (IANS) Filmmaker Karan Johar says amongst his rare starstruck moments in life was his chance meeting with American actress Meryl Streep, who just won her third Oscar award for “The Iron Lady”.
“I remember being in the same room as Meryl Streep at the Golden Globes in 2009… my only starstruck moment ever,” Johar wrote on Twitter.
On Sunday night in Los Angeles, Streep won the best actress award for reprising former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher in “The Iron Lady”. Earlier she won golden statuettes for best supporting actress for “Kramer vs. Kramer” and the best actress award for “Sophie’s Choice”.
“Am thrilled to bits that Meryl Streep won!!!! She for me is the best thing celluloid has ever witnessed,” added Johar.

Rajniesh’s chocolicious deed!
Rajniesh Duggal loves chocolates, and his heart melted when he saw a group of underprivileged children counting coins to purchase sweets.
The model-turned-actor was at a local supermarket where he was shopping for some household provisions. When he stood at the payment counter, he noticed the needy kids, struggling to count change to buy a chocolate for themselves, and ended up buying a box of chocolates for them.
“Without thinking twice, Rajniesh purchased a big box of chocolates and handed it over to the group of kids. His sweet gesture brought instant happiness on the face of the kids, who obviously could not hide their excitement,” said an onlooker.
Rajniesh will next be seen in Vikram Bhatt’s “Dangerous Ishq”, opposite Karisma Kapoor.
