KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent arrested
May 23rd, 2011 - 9:23 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattTennessee, May 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Celebrity website TMZ have reported that KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent has been arrested for assault. Full details of the story have not emerged but the report says Vinnie was arrested by the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department in Tennessee. TMZ say the singer was arrested in the early hours of Sunday and released later in the same day.
Vinnie has been charged with aggravated assault and the police have since released him on $10,000 bail bond. TMZ say he was released from jail on Sunday morning. Vinnie became famous after he replaced Ace Frehley on the band. During his time on the band, Vinnie who was born Vinnie Cusano adopted the name Ankh Warrior.
In 1982, Vinnie famously took the place of Frehley when differences forced Frehley to move away from the band. His stay with the band was short-lived because he was fired from the band in 1984. After leaving the band, Vinnie formed his own band called the Vinnie Vincent Invasion. The band was disbanded in the late 80s and the members formed the Slaughter band in the early 1990s.
The report did not state when Vinnie will be sent to court.
