Aug 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The fifty-nine year old former ‘Cheers’ star, Kirstie Alley, well known for battling with her weight before and after ‘Jenny Craig’, was thought to be one of the contestants on the upcoming season’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’, however, the actress went to Twitter recently to disperse the rumors which had spread like wildfire through the gossip magazines.

Despite the fact that Alley told Oprah Winfrey back in 2005 that dancing, along with circuit training was the major part of her exercise program, and she loves dancing, Alley says she will not be competing on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ for the eleventh season of the reality show.

In 2005, Alley shared with Oprah, “”In between each piece of equipment I dance really hard. And then I dance at the end for about 20 minutes. I do this anywhere from four to six times a week. And then I pretend like I’m Muhammad Ali at a disco.”

But five years later, Alley is apparently afraid to dance for all of the world to watch. She Tweeted t her followers, ‘Just a rumor. Imagine that. NOT doing DWTS this season… Way too chicken!! Maybe next season if Im invited again!!!’

According to ‘People’ magazine, this seasons dancers will reportedly include Bristol Palin, David Hasselholf, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Audrina Patridge, Brandy, and Michale Bolton. It has also been rumored that Jennifer Grey, from “Dirty Dancing”, Troy Aikman, Kurt Wagner, and Lindsay Lohan may compete on the show as well, but these “stars” are yet unconfirmed.
