Kirsten Dunst backs Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone
November 18th, 2010 - 5:19 am ICT by IANSLos Angeles, Nov 18 (IANS) Hollywood actress Kirsten Dunst believes that new “Spider Man” actors Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will “be great” in the superhero franchise.
Dunst starred as Spider Man/Peter Parker’s love interest Mary Jane Watson in three films, opposite Tobey Maguire. And the actress admits that casting chiefs made the right choice and she’s convinced the sequel will be a phenomenal success, reports imdb.com.
“I like Andrew Garfield so much as an actor - and Emma Stone - so I think they’ll be great in the new version,” she said.
Asked whether she will go to see the new film, Dunst replied, “Of course I’m going to see the movie! Of course.”
The currently untitled Spider Man film will be directed by Marc Webb and is due for release in July, 2012.
