Michael Douglas was diagnosed with an advanced stage of throat cancer earlier this year and is currently undergoing intensive treatment in a bid to beat the disease.
His father has since spoken of his pride, writing on his MySpace blog, “I admire my son, he’s quite a guy.”
Contactmusic.com reports that the 93-year-old and his wife Anne are said to have shifted their base from their home in Los Angeles to a temporary residence in New York to support Michael during his treatment.
