The Southern rockers hit the MTV Movie awards big on Sunday night and set the stage on fire. Caleb Followill promised he’d win ‘them’ over, and that the Kings did royally on the Awards’ night.

The Kings are ruling the roost everywhere, with hysteric fanfare and adulation. So popular are they that they have fans even amidst celebrities. Some names in the Kings’ fan-list goes like this - Robert Pattinson (yes, the hunky “Twilight” star is enamored by them) and Zac Efron.

The teen sensations of two of the most hugely successful installments this year, namely, Robert Pattinson of “Twilight” and Zac Efron of “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” already have been won over by the Kings. In fact, the Kings of Leon are friends with Efron for quite sometime. Before taking over the stage with their performance, the group comprising of three brothers and their cousin made plans of a night out with Efron.

The album, “Only by the Night” is the Kings’ latest release that is storming the charts now. Their first release was “Youth and Young Manhood”. Their other hits include “Aha Shake Heartbreak” and “Because of the times”.

When asked to choose between his celebrity fans, “High School” and “Twilight”, Caleb, Kings’ guitarist, chose to remain diplomatically correct, praising “Slumdog Millionaire” instead. His brother and Kings bass guitarist Jared Followill however picked “Twilight” over “High School Musical 3: Senior Year”, saying that the movie had a cool feel to it, that it was a generational kind of movie. Before making their exit, the Kings posed for photographs with Will Farrell and Danny McBride right after their performance.
