April 24, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): In the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Kim Kardashian has posed in the nude for a tale on bodily representation. She was not retouched in the photograph. Thereby, she has bequeathed her contribution in order to raise consciousness about the retouching the ‘industry’ does of superstars. Similarly, Jessica Simpson has also graced the May issue of Marie Claire minus any indication of touching up, cosmetics or a hairstylist. It must be admitted that Simpson appears unblemished. Simpson and Kardashian are being respected and saluted for their courageousness to be witnessed by a massive audience without the essential embossing procedure.
Kim Kardashian, Joy Bryant and Amanda de Cadenet all presented themselves as unretouched and unclothed for Harper’s Bazaar. Kardashian, last year, came into view on the cover of Life & Style in a bikini. She was reportedly not at all retouched.
Marie Claire has explicated that it requested a horde of superstars to go bare faced on the cover. However, it is being reported that only Simpson consented spawned by her latest VH1 program The Price of Beauty. It was really fearless of Simpson because she has had to endure an immense amount of condemnation for the way she appeared post her connubial annulment. To go without being retouched is an immensely significant step.
It is being declared that the idea of going to pose without being retouched is an enormously consequential one because of the massive presence of cosmetics in the world we live today. Individuals are obsessed about the way they look. Sometimes, their obsession reaches perilous levels. Innocent individuals constantly witness celebrities looking glamorous with the assistance of ample cosmetics and cosmetologists. As a result, the innocent ordinary people also force themselves to look that way. Their desire and obsession to look fashionable reaches outlandish levels. This impacts their personality and psyche in a detrimental way.
Therefore, if the celebrities come into sight without being retouched i.e. without the help of makeup, it will send a constructive message to the impressionable youngsters that excessive reliance on cosmetics is unhealthy.
