A recent, magazine cover picture of Hollywood celebrity and reality star Kim Kardashian, hit the news; the reason being the display of her ‘cellulite assets’. The photo was promptly taken off and replaced with a air-brushed version of the original, following all the buzz that it had generated.

What the whole incident has given rise to is a debate whether it is really necessary to graphically re-touch already naturally beautiful woman. It seems that most of the air brushing is done on popular demands made by the women who are the subject of the photographs. This has brought to light that the images that is seen on covers are mostly not true representations of the actual object.

Kardashian has been facing a lot of flak from all quarters because of the Complex magazine cover photo, a lot of people really wondering whether any of it is actually for real, or all done up. However, she also has found favors among all those who seems to think that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the entire issue. Kardashian has also posted both the ‘before’ and ‘after’ (air brushed) photos of the shoot on her website. The Complex magazine website had accidentally posted the pictures of the original shoot on the website for several hours before pulling it down, after bloggers had a field day cracking crude jokes over the photograph. The site later put up the Photoshopped version of the original where they had trimmed down the abdomen area and the celebrity’s thigh and lightened the skin texture.

The 28 year old Kim Kardashian has said,”I’m proud of my body and my curves and this picture coming out is probably helpful for everyone to see that just because I am on the cover of a magazine doesn’t mean I’m perfect.”
