Kim Kardashian is filling for divorce from Kris Humphries
November 1st, 2011 - 12:01 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Oct 31 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Reality television star Kim Kardashian is reportedly filing for divorce less than 100 days after she got married in a high profile event. TMZ reports that the 31-year-old is going to file the divorce papers on Monday morning.
The report said Kim will be citing “irreconcilable differences” as the basis for the court to grant the request. The report has been confirmed by Ryan Seacrest who is the producer of Kim’s popular show on E!
The American Idol host tweeted that, “Yes @KimKardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few mins.”
A statement is expected from Kim very shortly. The statement is expected to further clarify the reason why she is taking that decision after just 72 days of being married.
Celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser has been hired by the star to handle the proceedings. Wasser has been the attorney of stars like Maria Shriver, Britney Spears, Ryan Reynolds and Angelina Jolie.
Earlier this year, Daily Mail reported that Kim and husband Kris Humphrey were struggling with their marriage. The report quoted a source as saying that, “I don’t know when they’ll announce the split or why they got married in the first place but they are done.”
