Jan 31, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The anticipation regarding last Thursday’s episode of CNN’s ‘Piers Morgan Tonight’ was running quite high among the ardent followers of the Kardashian sisters as Kim and Kourtney Kardashian made an appearance on the recently launched talk show. However, it seems that the popularity of the Kardashian sisters are limited only to reality shows as the ratings of Piers Morgan’s chat show dipped by a whopping 75 per cent during its Thursday night’s episode.

When the much-anticipated ‘Piers Morgan Tonight’ made its debut on CNN about two weeks ago with the interview of talk show queen Oprah Winfrey, the program had recorded a staggering 2.1 million viewership. However, when Kim and Kourtney Kardashian appeared on the CNN chat show last week, the ratings were low by believe-it-or-not 75 per cent in comparison to Oprah Winfrey’s episode. The ratings that Piers Morgan’s Thursday night’s show attracted seem quite surprising considering the fact that the Kardashian sisters new E! show ‘Kourtney And Kim Take New York’ is known to have garnered a whopping three million viewers. Despite the fact that Piers Morgan witnessed astounding ratings during the premiere of his chat show earlier this month, over the last two weeks, an average 700,000-800,000 viewers tuned in to watch his talk show.

During the ‘Piers Morgan Tonight’ episode that aired on Thursday night, the talk show host highlighted that the Kardashian sisters are on the top 100 list of people who are being followed on the micro-blogging site, Twitter. While Kourtney Kardashian has bagged the 72 spot, her sister Khloe Kardashian is on number 47 but leading the team of sisters is Kim Kardashian who reigns at the sixth position.
