Feb 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) All the fans of Kim Burrell had something really big to look forward to at the BET Honors 2010, which witnessed the much acclaimed gospel singer giving an amazing performance that kept the viewers asking for more. The much anticipated award ceremony which was held last month came into the limelight as it was aired on the BET network last night.

Kim Burrell enthralled the viewers with her performance that was a special tribute to singing sensation Whitney Houston, who was honored at the gala event for her unprecedented contribution in the field of entertainment. The 37 year old much-loved gospel singer sang a beautiful rendition of Whitney Houston’s popular single “I Believe In You and Me” which kept the viewers hooked.

While the singer managed to mesmerize the viewers with her impressive vocal performance, she also gathered much attention due to the brand new look that she sported. However, it was her soulful singing that ultimately stole the show which was bestowed with appreciation from the audience. Even Whitney Houston who was present in front of the stage while Kim Burrell was performing, looked absolutely captivated during the singer’s entire performance. BET Honors gives recognition to African Americans for their achievement in their respective fields of work every year. The third annual BET Honors awarded five black Americans in the sector of entrepreneurship, entertainment, public service, media and education. Apart from Whitney Houston, the other African Americans who were honored in the ceremony included Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Queen Latifah, Ruth J. Simmons, Keith L. Black.
