keifer Los Angeles, Feb 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Kiefer Sutherland is all set to be back on the sets of the hit TV show ‘24’ on Monday. The shooting of the series was suspended because Kiefer Sutherland had to undergo emergency surgery to treat a ruptured cyst near his kidney. He underwent the surgery on the 16th of February, and his doctors said that he was fine enough to get back to work in a week.

It may be recalled that the production of Fox’s TV drama ‘24’ was halted, as actor Kiefer Sutherland had to undergo emergency surgery. So the production house had no option, but to halt the filming till Keifer recuperates from the surgery.

The production house had earlier said that the shooting is expected to be back on track, in about a week’s time, when Kiefer Sutherland returns. According to a statement by the production house, “We hope to resume production shortly and do not anticipate any disruption in the broadcast of this season’s episodes.” The production house didn’t elaborate much on Sutherland’s illness, and said that it was just a medical procedure. Sutherland is also the executive producer of the drama series. He also plays the character of Jack Bauer in the series.
