Kiefer Sutherland says he’s not to blame in headbutting episodeMay 12th, 2009 - 3:09 pm ICT by ANI
Washington, May 12 (ANI): An attorney for Kiefer Sutherland has released a statement, insisting that the actor was not to blame in an alleged assault on fashion designer Jack McCollough.
“We are troubled by the untruthful and self-serving information circulating regarding Kiefer Sutherland and events of last Monday evening,” People magazine quoted attorney Michael C. Miller as saying.
“We are confident, however, that the investigation being conducted by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and the NYPD will confirm that Kiefer Sutherland was neither the instigator nor a wrongdoer in this incident,” he added.
The statement added “out of respect for this law enforcement process,” the actor “will not be making any comment.”
The statement didn’t specify what information Sutherland’s attorney considered untruthful.
The ‘24′ star surrendered on assault charges for allegedly headbutting McCollough after he allegedly bumped into Brooke Shields and refused to apologize. (ANI)
