Washington, July 22 (ANI): Kiefer Sutherland has been cleared in the case relating to an alleged head-butting incident with designer Jack McCollough.

Manhattan District Attorney spokeswoman Alicia Maxey Greene said the case was now closed.

“We declined to prosecute after a full investigation. That included speaking to the complaining witness, who was quite uncooperative,” People magazine quoted her as saying.

The “24″ actor had been charged on May 7 for assaulting McCollough after he allegedly bumped into Brooke Shields in a Manhattan nightspot and refused to apologise.

McCollough claimed he had to undergo surgery after being left with a broken nose as a result of the brow-bopping.

The two had later agreed on a settlement after the incident, with the release of a joint statement in which Sutherland admitted he “regretted” the incident. (ANI)
