October 13, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): For all the media attention that the ‘King of pop’ Michael Jackson was surrounded with, the press did not really manage to get down to interviewing his kids. But if we go by the current reports doing the rounds, things are destined to change with the queen of daytime television, Oprah Winfrey managing to do it after all these years.

Oprah has reportedly interviewed Katherine, the late Michael Jackson’s mother on the 9th of October. The interview took place on her Enrico property located in California. The queen reportedly asked Katherine a number of questions including a few on her estranged husband Joe. Winfrey then also took a tour around the property.

The interview was confirmed by the ‘New York Post’ which chose to keep silent on the possibility of Oprah interviewing the late Jackson’s kids; Prince Michael who is 13, Paris at 12, and Blanket, who is all of eight. This is only the second interview given by Katherine and was supposed to have come out later this year. But the latest buzz doing the rounds tells us that it is destined to hit the air any day now.

However, a rival news paper, the’ New York Daily News’ says that the three kids have definitely been interviewed and the interview is likely to form a part of Oprah’s report which will be aired on the final season of the ‘Oprah Winfrey Show’. Various sources hint that the children had spoken at length about their father’s legacy. Michael Jackson had managed to shield his children from the public glare of the media but Oprah feels that the time is just right now for them to voice their opinions. The interview is likely to be watched out for, given the tremendous fan following of the legendary Michael Jackson.
