Kidman no longer feels safe in SydneyNovember 15th, 2007 - 5:02 pm ICT by admin
Melbourne, Nov 15 (ANI): A judge has been told that actress Nicole Kidman no longer feels safe in her home town of Sydney after an incident with a local paparazzo.
The 40-year old actress publicist Wendy Day said that she had received a phone call from the actress early on the evening of January 23, 2005, and she sounded very upset and was crying as she told her of being in a “near accident” after being pursued by photographer Jamie Fawcett and another man.
“She said ‘I have just come back to Sydney and I don’t even feel safe in my own home town’,” News.com.au quoted her, as saying.
She said that the actress said that she could not even go over to her parents’ place for dinner “without fearing for my own safety”.
Day was called to give evidence by Fairfax Media, publisher of the Sun-Herald newspaper.
In the hearing of the case, Justice Carolyn Simpson is considering whether Fairfax has any defences in the case. (ANI)
