Melbourne, Dec 19 (ANI): Hollywood superstar Nicole Kidman arrived in Sydney with daughter Sunday Rose from the US to celebrate Christmas with singer husband Keith Urban.
They looked quite relaxed and happy.
They are in the city to spend Christmas with their extended families for the second time at their Southern Highlands mansion.
However, the loved-up couple has attracted the agony of locals by encircling their Sutton Forest property with a breed of tree, which has become a pain in their neck.
More than 150 cypress leylandii saplings - also known as leighton green - have been planted on the inside of two of the 45ha property’s fences.
A local action group has for years been campaigning against their use because they block district views and can cause damage to property.
“The problem is people come here and look out over the views and say what a lovely place to live,” the Daily Telegraph quoted long-time local Greg Barnsley as telling Confidential.
“Then a lot of them plant these trees because they think they look nice, but they grow to 40m after 15 years - the height of a 10-storey building - and nothing grows around or under them.
“The people who plant them have often moved on by then and we’re left with blocked views,” Barnsley added. (ANI)
